Integrated
Contingency Plans:
An
ICP combines one or more contingency plans into a single
document which is easier to update, distribute, and use than
multiple, independent contingency plans.
In the past, each agency insisted upon having a separate
plan to meet their specific regulatory requirements.
Now, many agencies agree that an Integrated Contingency
Plan is a preferred method of contingency planning. Many
companies that have multiple, independent contingency plans are
merging these plans into an ICP as part of their regular plan
review and update process.
